1930s - 1940s Mens Leather & Canvas Sports Cycling Shoes UK 6
A pair of early 20th century boys leather and canvas sports shoes. Probably cycling shoes but the 'spikes' have been removed. Made by William Evans of Leicester, and marked 1940, this may be a design or last number or a date.
Hard to date as the styles didn't change much. A rare survivor, these are in pretty good condition except for the fact they've been sitting at the bottom of someone's wardrobe for years and are consequently squashed. Otherwise very good, the sole is hard and thick, and doesnt flex, the canvas strong with some fading.
Internal length 10 inches
width 3.25 inches
FAQ
Will they fit me?
Converting vintage shoes to modern size charts is a minefield. This is why I give sizes in inches. Compare the pair you are thinking of buying to a pair of a similar style you already own which fit well.
Refer to our size chart for a rule of thumb conversion.
Packaging
I use as much recycled packaging as possible with a minimum amount of new to ensure safe delivery.
Which shippers do you use?
I use Royal Mail, domestically and a combination of Royal Mail and your national carrier abroad. So for example USPS in the United States.
