1940s French Oxblood Platform Sandals
So much history in these sandals. From the immediate post war period they were made by Chaussures Royal of Paris for the Cairo department store Cicurel which was patronised by Egyptian royalty.
They are made of oxblood leather with punched holes revealing a white underlayer. Peep toe and slingback over a 1 inch platform and 2.75 inch heel. Adjustable sling strap and crossed punched straps over the top of the foot. Leather upper, lining and soles.
Condition is worn. These have been much loved and worn and have typical austerity style cobbling which includes a new sole nailed on and a ring of rubber heel piece. Very solid condition, but lots of scuffs especially on the heels.

FAQ
Will they fit me?
Converting vintage shoes to modern size charts is a minefield. This is why I give sizes in inches. Compare the pair you are thinking of buying to a pair of a similar style you already own which fit well.
Refer to our size chart for a rule of thumb conversion.
Packaging
I use as much recycled packaging as possible with a minimum amount of new to ensure safe delivery.
Which shippers do you use?
I use Royal Mail, domestically and a combination of Royal Mail and your national carrier abroad. So for example USPS in the United States.
