A Pair of Gilt 1910s 1920s Shoe Decorations
Rare. Gilded metal shoe dangles dating from the 1918-1922 era. A brief fashion that coincided with ankle strap tango shoes. The advert is 1922. An alternative way to wear them was over the button of a bar shoe, and this pair seem to have been designed for such use as the bar on the back has an indent to fit over the button.
Pierced mandala just under an inch across and fine chain tassels. The total length is 1.75 inches. No makers marks. Probably gold plated base metal.
