Black velvet pumps produced in 1988 with and embroidered and appliqued Josephine Baker doing her famous banana dance on the vamp. Pointed toe pump with extemded Vee shaped vamp and 2.5 inch louis heel. Suede, silk floss and plastic trim. Embroidery by Karen Spurgin. The V&A have a pair of these, but I haven't seen another pair for many many years. Leather lining and sole.
Very good conditon, lightly worn, new heel tips. Contemporary box.
