Incredible 1960s Chartreuse Ghillie Pumps by Pappagallo
Chartreuse green suede pumps with open ghillie lacing and an exaggerated Louis heel make these mid 60s shoes stand out from the crowd. They come in their original box which tells us the style is called Montmatre. Along with the Chartreuese colour they are clearly channelling the French New Wave styles. Leather sole, fabric lining and insole.
Condition is fairly worn, they have obviously been much loved. They have been resoled at some point and are a bit grubby round the toes. The old laces which are in the box have snapped so have been replaced. The inners are also worn. Having said all that they are wearable, or maybe you might just want to admire them because they are so fantastic.
