Rare 1930s Bally Crepe Sole Platform Derbies
Made from around 1938 to the early 40s these thick soled corrugated rubber crepe shoes are a rare survivor. they have an embossed leather upper in rich brown with Derby style tabs and 2 hole laces. The thick rubber sole is 3/4 inch at the front and 1.5 inches at the heel, therefore they are heavy shoes. Leather upper, leather and textile lining. The advert is 1938.
Good condition with modreate wear. The rubber is very hard and inflexible but I think it would have been when new too. It has discolouration but in generally good condition.
Modern size UK 5.5, EU 38.5, USA 7.5
Internal length 9.75 inches
width 3.1 inches - wide
FAQ
Will they fit me?
Converting vintage shoes to modern size charts is a minefield. This is why I give sizes in inches. Compare the pair you are thinking of buying to a pair of a similar style you already own which fit well.
Refer to our size chart for a rule of thumb conversion.
Packaging
I use as much recycled packaging as possible with a minimum amount of new to ensure safe delivery.
Which shippers do you use?
I use Royal Mail, domestically and a combination of Royal Mail and your national carrier abroad. So for example USPS in the United States.
